Brief: To convert a 3 bedroom to a 6 bedroom high end HMO for young professionals. To be contemporary and high end and to appeal to both male and females alike.
Solution: Kite offered a turnkey solution from initial designs through to the build, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work and providing and installing all furniture and accessories.
We built a rear extension where kitchen/breakfast area was created and the attic was converted into a bedroom and ensuite. Ensuites were developed for each bedroom.
We obtained a party wall agreement to remove the chimney stacks on 1 side and install gallows brackets.
Interior: For the interior an urban theme was chosen mixing wood and metal together. With predominantly light walls a feature wall was painted in each room that could inject some colour into the room, such as dusky blue, pale mustard and washed wood wallpaper. Fun playful artwork elements were added like the Einstein wording in the hallway.
Bespoke joinery was created for 1 of the smaller bedrooms to maximise space around the bed that comprised of an all in one wardrobe, and drawers with bedside table area.
