Kite are designers, builders and makers. We are changemakers, on a mission to reverse irresponsible design trends of the past and regenerate for a better future.
Our purposeful philosophy means that we go beyond the aesthetic. Putting the wellness of the human and the planet at the centre of our philosophy we aim to encourage a better quality of life for all, that will minimise the negative impact to the planet. Taking inspiration from nature we consciously design restorative solutions for the built environment and its users.
Over the last 50 years a green revolution has taken place in the build sector. There has been a focus on energy consumption through the life cycle where energy sources have been maximised and more controls being put in force over Greenhouse gas emissions. More recently there has been initiatives for zero energy buildings, long term renovation strategies, energy and environmental build rate systems, life cycle assessment procedures, and digital design.
Now especially due to COVID there is a stronger emphasis on users indoor comfort and the conditions it arouses, with the wellbeing of the human at the centre not just about financial gain.
Imagine a world where our only option is to buy and use renewable, traceable, re-useable materials, and resources from our natural environment.
We are leading the change from an immaterial world, to a new world of living, where we collaborate to help restore our planet and the people that live on it; where health is the new indicator of increasing value, rather than simply for financial gains.
Fresh air, clean water and healthy communities are essential for human existence. All three are threatened by the toxic materials we use in the built environment and the waste that is created.
We have a responsibility as designers to lead the way and implement change.
Kite makes this a reality in your built environments. Using renewable natural resources and bringing innovative design and craftmanship to your home, interiors, office and commercial environments.
Adopting circular processes within our work we are striving to eradicate using polluting materials and to moving manufacturing to a circular way of working where waste is reused and repurposed, where what we produce will stand the test of time and enable numerous lifecycles.
